Plasy . Air Show Tschechien

Air Day at the Aeroclub Plasy Airport – season opening in grand style Air Day 2026 in Plasy will take place on April 25 and 26, and this year again promises an exceptional program full of premieres and legends. Visitors can look forward to the first performance of the Italian Ttake Aerobatic Team in the Czech Republic, the world premiere of the Retro Fouga Team with Fouga Magister jet aircraft, a double performance by aerobatic ace Martin Šonka, as well as iconic historic machines including the P-51D Mustang “Little Rebel,” OV-10 Bronco, and helicopters Bell AH-1 Cobra or Bell 47. The Czech premiere will feature the Ttake Aerobatic Team. Italian pilots Marcello “Ted” Tedeschi and Attilio “Attilla” Tarabusi will bring a breathtaking aerobatic show to Plasy in Yak-52 aircraft. Their well-coordinated duo will demonstrate precise formations, dynamic maneuvers, and breathtaking moments – a performance the Czech audience will see for the very first time. A major highlight will also be the premiere of the Retro Fouga Team. A pair of elegant Fouga CM.170 Magister jet aircraft will present their joint display in a world premiere. The combination of classic design and graceful flight elements promises a truly impressive experience. A prominent figure of Czech aviation, Martin Šonka, will of course not be missing, appearing in two different performances. First, he will take the controls of the upgraded Zlín Z-242L aircraft, making its public airshow debut, followed by top-level aerobatics in the high-performance Extra 300 SR, where he will fully showcase his speed, precision, and experience from elite competitions. History enthusiasts can look forward to true legends. The North American Rockwell OV-10B Bronco will recall its role in the Vietnam War and offer a unique glimpse into military aviation of its era. Equally impressive will be the North American P-51D Mustang “Little Rebel,” presented in Plasy by British pilot Stephen Stead – an aircraft whose sound and silhouette rank among the most iconic sights at airshows. The atmosphere will also be enhanced by iconic helicopters associated with the Korean and Vietnam Wars, adding another historical dimension to the program and offering the interesting story of a West Bohemian pilot who flew these machines for Hollywood productions. In addition to the diverse aerial program, visitors can look forward to meeting and interacting with pilots, as well as a wide range of gastronomic experiences – from authentic American burgers, through Czech classics, to modern Asian cuisine from exclusive-style restaurants. Tank beer will be served in glasses, and visitors can relax with quality coffee and desserts. Various attractions are prepared for children and families, and of course there will also be experience flights in airplanes and a helicopter. Air Day 2026 will thus offer an ideal combination of experiences, aviation premieres, top-level aerobatics, and historical highlights. The program is the same on both Saturday and Sunday – the airport opens at 9 a.m., and the program begins at 10 a.m. Even the journey to Air Day can be an experience in itself. In addition to traditional buses, a historic train organized by the Pilsen Region will run from Plzeň to Plasy. Enthusiasts can enjoy a ride in a train set consisting of the Bardotka locomotive and Retro Ostravan carriages. Jonáš Novotný, PRESS SERVICE Air Day 2026 (April 25–26, Aeroclub Plasy Airport)
